Get Involved

The Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation is made possible because of dedicated volunteers and the generosity of donors who understand the importance of sustaining Jewish life in the Ottawa Jewish community for generations to come.

The OJCF consists of regular standing committees that oversee the daily activities of the Foundation, as well as ad hoc committees that meet on an as needed basis.

From time to time, new volunteers are required to handle specific projects and/or sit on various committees, such as:

  • B’nai Mitzvah (Teen Philanthropy)
  • Board Development & Education
  • Board of Directors
  • Fundraising
  • Investment
  • Marketing & Communications
  • Women’s Collective Endowment Fund / Women’s Philanthropy

If volunteering on an active committee is of interest to you, we encourage you to complete our
OJCF Skills and Interests Survey
online or manually which will help identify the appropriate volunteer placement.  You may also provide us with a brief statement indicating any specific insterests which you feel best suited.

Committee membership is determined by the OJCF Board of Directors (with input from respective Committee Chairs) and applications are carefully considered.

If you would like to get involved with the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation, we encourage you to contact our Foundation Associate to discuss your interests (613-798-4696 ext. 252).
