Everyone has the ability to create a Jewish legacy.
What is the OJCF Legacy Challenge Fund?
If you decide to name the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation as the recipient of a bequest through your will, the OJCF Legacy Challenge Fund will pay for the professional/legal services to help create this bequest or codicil up to a maximum of $1,000.
Who is eligible?
All donors choosing to leave $10,000 (or more) or 1% (or more) of their estate to the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation, are eligible to participate in the Jewish Legacy Challenge.
How does it work?
Make an appointment with your lawyer or other professional advisor.
Complete a bequest provision for the benefit of the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation in your will or living trust.
Your lawyer/professional advisor will advise you on what you need to take into consideration and will then draft your Will based on your decision(s).
You or your lawyer can send us the final bill, along with a copy of the section describing the particular bequest/codicil.
Payment of up to $1,000 (maximum) will be sent to your lawyer/professional advisor from the Legacy Challenge Fund.
